Welcome to Port Edward

Port Edward is a small resort town situated on the south coast of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa. It lies north of the Mtanvuma Gorge which includes the Mtamvuma River and is the border between KwaZulu-Natal and the Eastern Cape.
Situated 150 kilometres south of Durban on the edge of the mighty Indian Ocean and amid the lush rolling hills of Southern KwaZulu-Natal, Port Edward is the ultimate holiday destination.
Bordered by the dramatic Umtamvuna River gorge, Port Edward is the southernmost town on KwaZulu-Natals South Coast. Looking inland from the popular Silver Beach, one sees Tragedy Hill, that site where Zulu worriers fought and killed Henry Fynn and his followers.
